PRESS INFORMATION
Graz, 23rd of April 2009
Under the title „Between Alpha X and Omega“, the gallery artepari presents new works of the artist Markus Wilfling in Graz, from April 24th to June 5th 2009.

Between Alpha X and Omega
Unagitated daily material asthetics, the shifting of perception, irritations of sight and the realization of mechanisms of deception which results from that are typical for the work of Markus Wilfling. By developing his sculptures, whose origins are often objets trouvées or fake readymades, he advances his researches about the absurdity of the world. By doing so, however, it’s not him who feigns or pretends; he solely leads the possibilities of material facts, which are often falsely perceived as reality by the observer. Learned brain functions are being questioned while at the same time our memories become independent.
